Lena’s Library: Lena Dunham’s Ideal Bookshelf

Sunday night was absolutely Lena Dunham’s night.  Congrats to her on Girls‘ two Golden Globe wins!

I have conflicted feelings about Ms. Dunham.  I found Tiny Furniture fairly self-indulgent, which at the time I found obnoxious, but upon reflection, really added to the raw honesty of the piece and was a strong choice.  Regardless, she’s emerging as a creative force to be reckoned with people really respond to, and though I haven’t seen Girls yet, I plan on checking it out.

I’ve also been meaning to check out the new tome My Ideal Bookshelf, “[a]n illustrated compendium of first-person musings by writers, artists and other creative types about the books that inspired them and helped shape their identities,” and in honor of Girls‘ second season, Vulture ran Ms. Dunham’s ideal bookshelf.
