What you should be doing Saturday night: Leslie DiNicola at Arlene’s Grocery

In NYC? Looking for something to do Saturday?  The supremely talented Leslie DiNicola is in residence this November at Arlene’s Grocery..which means you have not one, not two, but FOUR MORE CHANCES to hear her LIVE.  And DAMN, she is good live!!

This past Saturday we celebrated the release of her new EP Some Greener Yard, the ridiculously strong follow-up to her EP of covers, Draw Back Your Bow, which features a cover of Journey’s Separate Ways ( in my humble opinion, Leslie’s interpretation is stronger than Journey’s version!).  The new EP also features my two personal favorite Leslie DiNicola tracks to date:

1)  It’s Alright

2)  Stay

Not only is Leslie a ridiculously talented writer, she exhibits the most amazing mastery of her voice:  ridiculous range, perfect balance of the hard and the soft, and truly honest, present performances.  She is a true artist, and a pretty spectacular friend 🙂

To celebrate her new album and her month-long residency at Arlene’s Grocery, I’m giving away a copy of her first two EPs: It Resembles Fiction and Draw Back Your Bow!  To enter, tweet to me @wineandabook using the hashtag  #somegreeneryard or by leaving me a message in the comments below!  If you’re lucky, I may even throw in the official Leslie DiNicola foam finger!  Move over, Miley!

Rules:  only one entry per household. The winner will be randomly selected and announced Monday December 2nd!

In the meantime, check her out every Saturday in November at 7pm at Arelene’s Grocery.  Admission is $10 at the door.

Can’t make it to NYC?  Check Leslie DiNicola out on iTunes and Facebook!
