- Dr. Brandt’s exfoliant is a thicker, citrus-y scented cream, whereas Philosophy’s formula is more of a gel-like cleanser with some fine grit.
- Philosophy’s wash is gentle enough to use daily, whereas Dr. Brandt’s suggests a twice weekly usage.
- Dr. Brandt’s is a twice-weekly treatment, and even though a little goes a long way, the $78 price tag is a bit jarring. Philosophy’s, however, costs $27 for 8oz…but you use it everyday, and may have to replace it more often.
Verdict: TIE. It depends on what you’re looking for. I’ve used both, and the results are comparable, though the results from Dr. Brandt’s treatment are a bit more intense. If you want a daily option, The Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash is a PHENOMENAL value that delivers serious results. But if you’re a seasoned exfoliator and looking for more of an intense treatment, Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant may prove to be a great investment.
