Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014 | RTW Round-up | WHIT and Wildfox

WHIT

WHIT‘s Fall 2014 RTW collection wasn’t heavy on innovation, but was super current to this season’s trends.  Some trends:  leather dresses, nautical stripes, boxy tops and milkmaid braids.  Here are a few of my favorite looks:

These are the ONLY overalls I would ever consider wearing.  Super chic.

I adore this coat/hat/boot combo.

Jumpsuits!  Love the tailoring!

Overall:  Super wearable.  Not super innovative, but I can see these pieces doing really well retail-wise.  They seem like they could fit into many (Brooklyn) closets seamlessly.

Wildfox

I love Wildfox for their sassy typographic tees (loving the Pride and Prejudice reference!!) and their on-trend knits.  Though I wasn’t really feeling the explosion of toile that seemed to permeate the collection, or the scalloped sweatpants (??) as day wear, they had a few adorable looks:

Overall:  I’m really digging the open-knit/cable knit sweater hybrid with the leather elbow detail, as well as the whimsical oversized swan sweater.  I’m also all about the lace-up boots with the slouchy wool socks. Between the beanies and the socks, if the polar vortex decides to plot a return next fall/winter, we will be ready!
