I know it’s a bit bizarre to be obsessed with a makeup remover, but I am OBSESSED with Bioderma’s Micelle Solution.
No wonder this big bottle has a big cult following. Just a small squirt on a cotton pad, and my makeup literally melts off–foundation, mascara, eyeliner, red-lipstick…even OCC’s Lip Tars, which are NOTORIOUS for their staying power. It’s also incredibly gentle on the delicate eye area. I’ve accidentally gotten it in my eye, and there was no burning or blurriness, as happens frequently with lotion and oil-based makeup removers.
As a result of using this religiously for a couple months, I noticed that my pores are smaller and my skin glows a bit more. Because my cleanser isn’t wasting time dissolving my foundation, my skin is actually able to receive the antioxidants and nutrients in the cleanser.
The only drawback: it’s a bit pricey (about $35) and hard to get in the US (I got my bottle via Amazon), but a little goes a long way. Apparently, Sears (of all places) has begun to carry it at their online site, but they’re charging $48!
Overall: Given that, at the rate I’m using it, this bottle will likely last me 5-6 months, I will absolutely repurchase!
